Today was our first day to pass out the chicks and lights. What a great time we had! The team broke into 2 groups and visited about 40 homes. We were so blessed to have our two interpreters, Rosi and Diana. With them, we were able to visit with each family, explain why we were there, then present them with the chicks and lights. On each light, we had printed a scripture, such as "I am the light of the world" ( John 8:12). After giving them the gifts, we asked them if we could pray for them. The families accepted our offer of prayers and were grateful for them.
All in all it was a very good day. Thank you PTCUMC for your generous donations that made these gifts for the people of Guatemala possible!
After lunch with the pastor of the village of Tablitas, we spent the afternoon playing with the kids in the village. 
We are having a blessed time!
