Chickens and light bulbs in Guatemala

Faith promise funds were committed in tonight's Global Outreach Team meeting to purchase chickens and solar powered light bulbs for our ministry in Guatemala.  Protein and light will make a huge difference in the lives of villagers in remote locations.  Make for a great segue to talk about the Bread of Life and the Light of the World.

What have you seen God doing this week?

We have already received several stories of how God is supplying his Faith Promise.  I have described several below.  Add a comment if you have something to share.

God uses the ice storm to supply His Faith Promise - A large tree that was going to cost $2500 to cut down was brought down by the ice storm this week.  The tree just happened to fall in exactly the one spot that caused no property damage but made it easy to cut up and remove.  Because the tree was already down, the cost to cut up the tree was only $500 - The $2000 savings was the amount of the person's Faith Promise.

A refund check from an orthodontist - Have you ever even heard of a refund check for overpayment to an orthodontist?  Well, God knew just how much the overpayment would be.  In fact, the day after Faith Promise Sunday, God provided almost the exact amount of a Faith Promise with this refund check.

God has done great things at PTCUMC!

We just completed our first Global Impact Celebration and what a week!  God has done some amazing things at PTCUMC.  We were blessed with the presence of mission partners and missionaries from Fayette County and around the world.  Relationships were started and strengthened,  stories of how God is moving in building His Kingdom were shared, our faith was increased, and our hearts were moved to service.
