Blessed

     We have been blessed in many ways this week. We have seen old friends and made new ones. We have participated in awesome worship and study. We have experienced the blessing of giving gifts to  improve the lives of families in the villages.  And, we have been blessed by awesome weather!  

     You see, the temperatures here in the jungle are usually about 95 degrees this time of year. But we have been blessed by temperatures in the 70's and low 80's, something rather unheard of here. It has been so nice, especially during long walks through the village and while helping with construction. It is very easy to get overheated here, and that can make you really feel sick. But we have been blessed to work in wonderfully cool temperatures. 

        Today we worked really hard digging trenches for a concrete wall that will surround the retreat center. It was tough work, but we got the job done.   

    We even had a little fun along the way. 

     While we were working, some kids from the neighborhood came to watch , so some of us sat down to play with them. Relationship building is always the most important thing on our trips.
